Conslusion and Analysis
Since the growth and progress of the fast food industry our nation and country has never been the same. Because of the development of fast food restaurants, America's economy, health and lifestyles have been intensely affected in various ways and aspects. First, when humans consume food their bodies will take the nutrients from it and use it. But when people give their bodies food that is very low in the vitamins and minerals it is very bad in human bodies and lead to many chronic diseases. Since the industry is growing rapidly, fast food has become a very popular food but because of this, more and more people are eating it, leading to many obesity relating diseases. Many, are fatal. Some might not agree, but many think that the fast food industry has only impacted Americans negatively. Most think this because fast food has proven to to cause obesity, when eaten in large portions, which is linked to many diseases. Next, the fast food industry has had a huge impact on economy. It has provided many jobs, approximately 3,036,000 are workers every year. The impact has been both negative and positive but mostly positive. In the way that it has provided so many jobs. The negative side is how emloyees are poorly paid and treated. Thirdly, lifestyle has been greatly effected in two main ways. First, the social aspect has taken away almost completely because families aren't having sit down dinners. Second, the drive through which has also contributed to the loss of family oriented time. It pulls families away from sit-down dinners since it's quicker, more efficient and cheaper than making an home cooked meal. The influential aspects from the drive through have been it saves people time but because it takes away time that is meant to being social. Although it takes time away from the social aspect it does help people who have busy work schedules. But eating fast food to frequently is not a balanced meal in the way that it does not provide the vitamins and minerals the human body strives for so it can be very unhealthy and most likely will leading to obesity related diseases. Many Americans die each year from this epidemic. Approximately 112,000 American citizens die every year from obesity. To put that in perspective, that same year the U.S. State Department stated that terrorism killed 28 American citizens. You should be less afraid of terrorism and more afraid of obesity. The fast food industry has made some positive and negative impacts on the American lifestyle, health, and economy, in many different ways and aspects changing the nation.
